How much longer till them Shorties arrive? I been hearing about them for
maybe a year or so, maybe longer. I picked up a set of Free Flows last
year at the Ct. show for the yellow cars engine swap when I do it.

Or just wait for the new Edelbrock'shorty'headers to come out.

I saw a 74 Hornet at the Ardsley Show 2 years ago with these Free Flow
manifolds along with the grinding the owner also told me he massaged the
firewall a little with a BF Hammer for a little more clearance. I have
been told by Randy Guyan that a pass side 70 Rebel Machine log style
manifold cures the clearance problem. I would use a little Dynamat
insulation in that area so you don't cook the pass feet.

Got a photo handy of the grind job you did?

John, The passenger side exh manifold is the tight fit. I had to trim a
little off the rh strut rod brace and the exhaust manifold where the three
bolt flange is and once installed, it was so close to the 'frame', that I
even ground off the casting bumps on the side of the manifold. I must have
trail fit this thing ten times before I said enough was enough.
