On of the tricks here is to barter. If you solo to a Nationals, then when
you get back (to the wife) it is all flowers and nice dinners out with a
good bottle of wine. I learned a long time ago that a Carter 650 is not a
good 'hi honey, I'm back! I love you! Look what I brougth back for you! Type
of gift.' But a Holley double pumper with vac secondaries makes a great
wedding present, not for the one you love, someone else. You spent $4K to go
to Lansing, MI, Nationals? I have had bar tabs at tiddie (can I say that
here?) uh, 'gentlemen's' clubs that were larger than that for one night! And
no AMC involved, what was I even thinking, drive home alone in my
Rebel........
