You'd be surprised the difference subframe connectors make and they also make a good mounting spot for a roll cage if you ever install one. You will even notice a difference in the the handling on the street at least I did. I then tied my 12 point cage into the subframe connectors and the unibody. This was done on the yellow car in preparation for the V8 installation. "Doc"

Sorry Davis, I've never had an AMX (or Jav)... I've owned a Gremlin, a Spirit, 2 Rebels, and an Ambassador (I've got my eye on a 66 American too)
I thought about frame connectors, but I'm kinda glad I didn't. It would have eaten up more time and money and it turns out that I probably don't need them. I'm probably not pushing more than 300-350hp.
Kel,my buddies 74 grem ran 12.40's sans connectors so unless your yanking the front wheels connectors aren't really nessesary.
