My problem is not as bad as yours as it was not an accident or a health issiue, more of trying to keep the goverment and nurseing home from takeing all my mothers assets. We paid the Medicare penalties and submitted all the papers with no protest's from the gov. or the nurseing home and it was all approved. It is just we have to wait for the judge to get off his dead butt to just sign the papers. It's a bitch when a parent dosen't plan for the future and 2 generations of hard work is taken by the gov. & the nurseing home. Luckily I was with the aid of a lawyer to be able to save some money for me and my brother. Unfortunately I am in poor health and have had to do all the leg work here in N.Y. as my brother lives in Arizona. As of 4 years ago I would be doing all this work on my 2 cars myself but now I am not able to so I have to farm it out. This guy has been doing my front ends since 1978 and I trust him without haveing to look over his shoulder and watch him. He is a little pricy but it is not bad as I bring my own parts for the work and don't have to pay the shop markup on parts. I get a mechanic's discount and don't pay no tax at the local AMC friendly auto parts store, so things even out and I come out ok. But he is closeing in 1 month and moveing to Florida and I have to get all the mechanical work that he is going to do done in this time frame. It ain't going to be easy.
