Subject: 72 gremlin maybe for sale :)

Hi Eddie, Debbie from Long Island NY here - not sure of you remember me or not.. anyway.. I'm considering selling my Gremlin.. was wondering if you could tell me the best places besides ebay & Hemmings to list it..

1972 232 6cyl
immaculate
top notch paint, interior new, other than that completely stock, I have all documentation and lots of memorabilia and a ton of the matchbox cars - tho not all will go buh bye with it if I do sell :)

135 HP 232CID
Automatic Trans
Air Cond
Power Steering
Tinted glass

Undercoating
Radio AM PB
Full Wheel covers
Vinyl interior
Bumper Guards F & R
Remove White Wall tires

The car was featured in 2003 Hemmings Orphans calendar (Miss January) and in Hemmings Special Interest Autos Dec 2002 with a 6 page spread..
It took
you can see some pics at:
http://www.wkdwich.com/gremlin.htm

The car took jr. bronze in the AMO  Nationals 2000 in CT it was the 1st time I showed it and only time in a national.. takes trophies every time  I do take it to a show.. was part of an ad in the New Yorker early 2004 and ran in a Veterans parade down 5th Ave in Manhattan 2002.. I ran it at West Hampton Motorpark in the 2000 Nostalgia Drags (had a blast there and coulda come home with a trophy if I didn't red light!)

It'll probably break my heart to sell it, but I don't drive it much or even take it out much any more.. too busy, hubby toobusy and we have 3 other classics here - 78 & 84 caminos and he just got a 32 open roadster.

Have you got a clue as to what I might think to get for it?? The body shop own who painted it is saying like 10k, Dave says maybe 8k

The biggest issue is the seat padding needs to be redone, there is simply too much there.. and *I* feel the brakes suck, Dave says it's cause I don't drive it enough - there is minor , very minor stuff coming back thru the paint but you really have to look for that.. I'll have to take some better pictures if I decide it has to go..

thanks for your time
Regards,
Debbie  ^v^  ^o^  //\o/\\ ^o^  ^v^  Webmaster- System Admin
