The 401 Gremlin is a fantastic find. Most people have to search high and low to find everything they need to install a 401.
What you intend to do with the Gremlin will determine what suits the motor best. Do you want a cruiser for the street or something radical to go from street light to street light really fast? Are you looking for torque or rpm's?
What intake/carberator does the 401 have? Does it have headers or factory exhaust manifolds?
You will get a variety of opinions from the group but the final decision will be yours. For now, just enjoy driving it and show people in your area what owning an AMC is all about.
