Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Auto Meter Gauges/Ron Francis Wireing Catalogs

I can see your point about billet and the Texas heat. Even working out
in the field on a bulldozer in the hot summer sun made picking up a
wrench difficult here in the summer. Black interiors are just as bad.
One of the few things the pevious owner fixed properly was the A/C which
blows cold. I got 3 cars and the wife dosen't drive and my son has 3
cars. I tried to teach her in 1973 in my freshly painted 69 Rebel. We
went 100 feet and she banged my head in the windshield 3 times and was
heading twards a light pole in a huge empty parking lot. I yelled stop
the car and she banged my head again. I tore her permit up on the spot.
Some people do not have what it takes to drive and my wife is one of
them. I take her where she wants to go and she rides with her friends,
my son takes her and she rides the bus and she has no desire to learn at
56 years old. In the last 3 years I got my mother and mother-in-law off
the road and won't put my wife on even if she wanted too. I built a jig
to hold the dash and hope to start painting it next week. We have 4 days
of rain in a row starting today. This is a NOS Hornet Bee emblem and if
the other bidder wants it he is going to have to pay dearly for it, IT"S
MINE!!!. Last summer after I came home from the Ct. AMO show and only
spent 20$ for parts there was a restorable 69 Rebel SST model on eBay, I
paid 117$ for it. This is a rare part and I want it. The guy in Canada
that I bought the hood latch has a cracked one for 20$ plus shipping so
I know I will have to pay big time for the NOS one.

At the rate you're going, you and the wife will each have a Hornet to drive
to different events. I had considered the same billet trinkets for the Gremlin,
but down here in the Texas heat, the parts would get almost too hot to touck.

Keep plugging away dock.......a little bit here.....a little there, it will
get finished.

Good luck on the hood emblem.
