Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Re: Hornet emblem

Thanks I appreciate the offer. All I really need right now is the Bee
hood emblem for my yellow Hornet. Although I could use 2 rust free
fenders for it. Where I live right outside of N.Y. City all the yards
crush anything older than 6 years old. The only place I have gotten
parts from here was from a small scrap metal yard down the street frm
where I live that one of the owners is an AMC guy. I bought a Spirit
from him without an engine for parts for 50$, got the parts I needed for
my Hornet, parted it out and made 500$ selling the parts I didn't need.
It had a clean body but major rust in the front frame rails around the
steering box and idler arm. He even delivered the car to my garage and
picked up the shell 2 weeks later and crushed it for me. I also parted
ot a beat 79 Concord sedan for a friend. After he got the parts he
needed he gave me anything I want. The rear is now in my yellow Hornet
and the fron't disc's will also be installed later this year. The guy
that I am helping put on the show next month parted out a very beat
Gremlin and I got some good plastic interiot parts for the new Hornet.
It appeared to have been an old Con Ed company car.

I understand. My friend and I do a LOT of salvage yarding and I will be on the look out for any specific items on Hornets that you may need. We run the Texas/Oklahoma/Arkansas area, though mostly for Javelin and Gremlin items.

on eBay. I have mainly bought AMC/Rambler model cars. As far as the
emblem goes it is for my original Hornet the car I have had for 30 years
and I am willing to pay what ever I have to to get this emblem for it.
The Rambler mentality goes out the window here this time.
