Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Re: Torque Converter Question & more....

I will let the tranny guys of which I an not one advise you on the
torque converter question. I do how ever have one question of my own for
you. Are you going to have the original 727 trans rebuilt? If so pop for
the shift kit while it is being done and have it set on firm. If you are
not I would still recomend a shift kit be installed. You could do it
yourself while the trans is out of the car. I installed one in my yellow
Hornet 25 years ago myself. It will make the trans last longer and run
cooler because of less slipage. An auxillary trans cooler would also be
a wise investment too. I also installed one of them too. Check a Jeg's
or Summit Catalog for prices as I am not up on current ones. A B&M Trans
Pac and a cooler are on my list of mods for the new car in the spring or
when I have some extra money.

converter. Maybe I should save my pennies now....
On another issue: Davis - did you have your heads ported?

this very question. I am curious to see what this group comes up
with. Good luck on the build. Mark
