Dash Frame Major Repair Work Today

As soon as it warms up in 2 hours I will go out to the car and get my 1/4" rachet set. I will be installing the crash pad on the dash frame so I can cut the 3/4"X3/4" square plexiglass bar I bought yesterday and make the re-enforcement to be glued under the top of the dash to eliminate the slight warp on both sides. I just have to make sure it does not interfere with any mouting bolts from the crash pad or the glove box on one side and the inst. panel on the other side. I figure it will take about 8 hours between today and tomorrow to do this then I can sand the whole frame and prep it for paint. That mid April installation date is comeing up soon so I got to get my fat old butt in gear. I'll be so glad when this phase of the interior project is done. It is burning me out. The only other real pain job in the interior is going to be takeing out the headliner and all the rest of the plastic molding dyeing it. Everything else is a piece of cake. I still need to find a set of bucket seats. The door panels and the rear hatch panels upolstery is a piece of cake as I made the ones for the other car so I now what to do and what not do to make them I am going to buy a complete set of carpet which includes the formed pieces that cover the rear wheel wells. And then install the mint black seat I have from the yellow car. I figure the complete interior should be completed by the end of june, provideing that I find the bucket seats I need and get my court case money by then.
