LMAO. The guy said it was rolling....YEAH right....had to pull both drums and removed both brakes. Anyone interested in a 6 cyl rear? > Whats the easist way to pull the V8 crossmember and front suspension out of my '73? That will be gone this week. I still have to look at the seatbelts for you Doc. > Thanks, > Josh > ----- Original Message ----- > From: amc74hornet > To: BaadAssGremlins@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Sent: Monday, March 22, 2004 6:17 AM > Subject: [BaadAssGremlins] Re: I FINALLY have a solid Grem' > > > --- In BaadAssGremlins@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "Bandit" <formula421@xxxx> wrote: > > Foundand bought a SOLID '72 Grem' near home and its complete! When I was looking for another car over the past 4 years all the ones I wanted to buy that I could afford were clear across the country and the price of shipping put them out my price range. I lost out on a nice clean running 76 Gremlin 45 min. away in N.J. I was looking for a driver and not a project. I was supposed to go see the car on a sunday but sat. I was taken to the hosptal and all the contact info was on my WEB TV and no one could get it. The idiot had my home phone no# but never called and when I didn't show up on sunday he took the car monday and sold it to a used car lot. My new Hornet I bought from a guy that screwed me out of it 4 years ago that lives in town. Like I said Congrats Man. > "Doc" > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Yahoo! Groups Links > > a.. Your use of Yahoo! Groups is subject to the Yahoo! Terms of Service. All the AMC's that I have ever worked on never had the screws replaced after a brake job except my yellow one and that was because I did the work. The wheel bolted on held the drums on. On the front end I just used my AMC spring compressor to remove the springs on the Spirit and Concord I parted out and unbolted everything. Be careful with them springs that can kill you if you are not careful. An old AMC mechanic I knew was blind in one eye from a spring hitting him in the head. No rush on the seat belts let me know when you can. "Doc"
