(LOL). I better shut up or he might quit on me and I would be in trouble. I do wish you guys lived around me where I could see your machines in person. It might inspire me to do more with mine. I went to the AMO nationals in St. Louis in 99 to get inspired. but it didn't last long. Don't think there was a dozen Gremlin's there and while a few were great most were in worst shape them mine. Terry. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++= ,,,,,,umm....... : "<Worst shape them mine >" Inspiration ? That is why GOD invented Magazines ............ Your SIX not Inspiring ? AMC had the INDY Turbo engine - which was a 199 with Forged Pistons & a single Turbo : 550 HP . Then there is the AMC Turbo car : HP 450 . So........ be creative ..........at least Try ........ Read up on Turboing your six ................ Join this group @ Yahoogroups.com : www.jyturbo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx You can use a Turbo with a Carb so you won't have to read up on EFI : Join this group : www.blowthruturbo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Want EFI on your SIX ? Find an '87 - '90 Cherokee parts vehicle. These have 4.0 with an EFI system designed by Renault / Bendix - "Renix" . This is the best EFI system out of all the JEEP EFI systems . Strip out the EFI and Install on your Six . Want to build a Fuel Injected Stroker Inliner Six ? Join : www.Strokers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx None of the Above ? Get a 4bbl. adaptor for the 2bbl. manifold from Mr. Gasket for less than $20.00 . Grab the Intake / Exhuast manifolds from an '81 - '86 AMC 6 . This is the best Intake for the Six. AMC spent a pile of cash developing it to have uniform flow thru each runner . Mount the Adapter to the Intake manifold - then add a 390 Holley 4bbl carb. This is what the MOAB Race - JEEP Race Engines use . A rebuilt Carter WCFB 4bbl would be nice as well - around 325CFM . Crane has a Great Torque Cam for your motor . Max RPM : 4,500 . Then get some stainless tube from Burns : www.burnstainless.com and craft up a exhaust pipe coming forward of the engine . Mount a pre-made Turbo flange on the pipe end - mount a Turbo from a T-Bird Turbo Coupe or an '87 Buick Grand National - run a tube from the compressor side up to the top of the carb. Get an IMPCO carb bonnet- used in IMPCO Propane conversions - and hook up to the pipe . Carb mods are on jyturbo - and are bone dead easy . You'll find most everything you need there and people who can make things for your project as well. You can run up to 8 lbs. of Boost on your stock engine and spin 300HP without an Intercooler . Figure a BIG V8 doesn't make that 450HP until it is wound past 5K rpm - and weighs roughly 200 lbs.heavier than an Inline 6 - and your usable Inline 6 300HP will be generated before 5K rpm - and you'll be running without the extra front end weight - ...... what do you think happens in those Streetlight Competitions ? Still uninspired ? Get a Blood Transfusion .......... Brien. NEW YORK
