A Little At A Time

Since the post office lost the inst. lenses Rick sent me I decided to try somthing he did to one of the lenses he tried to send me. I polished out the scratches in the one I have. I sanded out the scratchs wih 1000# wet sandpaper then rubbed it out by hand with orange compound, then white compound and then with 3M Plastic cleaner. I would have imagined it would have been a lot faster if I had a polishing pad adapter for one of my power tools but I didn't so I did it by hand. It looks real nice and just needs a little more work to be perfect. It's going to be 57 degrees today so this afternoon I will adjust the drivers door glass properly. I got lazy yesterday afternoon and didn't do it. I will also install the pass door outer window sweep. Them Kennedy repo's fit like stock NOS ones. I got to order me 2 more inside ones. I got to go buy me a new battery powered drill from Sears and lay out and drill the holes for the pass door mirror. There is a fair amount of rain coming in the next few days so this is the day to get things done. I'll take rain over snow any day. Between the rain and my brother comeing in from Arizona thursday there won't be much time to work on the actual car itself this week except for today. "Doc"
