Hello all, this is my first post here i thought I'd say hi.
Im in the process of getting a 1970 hornet with a 199ci and 3spd auto.
I am also getting my hands on a sweet amc 401 fresh rebuild to go in
it.

I figured I would join this forum as well since us amc's need to
stick together. (and our cars are kinda the same :)

First things im dealing with is Im mainly trying to figure out if I
should get rid of the auto thats in the car or get a 727 and use that.

Things like what years to get disc's off of would be nice as well.
My cars condition is ...
Its got 4 wheel drums and no pwr brakes.
Has power steering though.
Decent paint with little rust.
Dent on fender, might be fixable.
Good interior, needs front recovered. Can I just use later style
buckets maybe even out of a another brand car?
Engine is going to be pulled and sold extremly cheap 67k original
miles.
It has rally 500's on the back and hubcaps in front! LOL!! poor kid.
Going to look at it close tomarrow in the day light.

Anything I should be looking for?
Glad to be here.!!
