Initally when I bought this car I had to remove the door panels to have the locks repaired and re-Keyed. The door panels were in very sad shape from water damage so I never reinstalled them as I will make new ones. The driver door window never rolled up all the way to the top properly and hit the felt channel. Today since it was really nice out today I took the car for my normal tuesday business for the family. As I got in the car and closed the door I heard a familiar rattle in the door. There is a stud that holds the bottom of the front part of the bottow of the windshield track to the door that allows you to adjust the windows angle of travel in the track to close properly. As in my other Hornet it was broken allowing the window not to close properly. Luckily for me all the pieces unscrewed with no problem, the fix is a 1/4" piece of threaded rod 2 1/2" inches long and two 1/4" nuts and 2 flat and one lock washer. since the Gremlins and the Hornet's share the same door's some of you might have the same problem and not know it. So here's the easy fix, but you have to adjust the lenght of the 1/4" rod into the track for proper window closeing. I got to check in the garage to see if I have some rod, if not when I get the 2 new tires put on the new Hornet this afternoon I will stop at the hardware store down the street and get some. "Doc"
