It is a blowthru Turbo set up for the AMC 6 that
Randall AMC - those 401 Gremlin builders -
put together.   Article states they couldn't
'romp' the Turbo 6 since they'd blow the
trannie.........hmmmmmm.....

Outside of parts - they'd charge you 300 bucks to
 install....... which means it would take Bart
three months to get it done :).......... !bAwaaaaaaa!!

In Basic - you'll use a 4bb. to 2bbl intake
manifold adapter - and I would use the
'81 - '88 AMC Intake / Exhaust Manifold as it is 
quite good - , then get a Holley 390cfm
carb - & in the Archives is the info on
plugging the atmospheric passages 
in the carb - which is pretty easy -
fatten the jets & plumb an IMPCO
Propane carb 'bonnet' from the
carb to the Turbo which is mounted
on the AMC Factory cast iron exhaust
manifold .

The exhaust Turbine 'downpipe' or
exhaust from the Turbo should dump
into a 3" pipe as quickly as you can
- so from the flange it might be 2.5"
going to a flare to 3" - this keeps the
backpressure from the Turbo & lets
it spin easily.

$ used Turbo from Buick GN '87 ? 
$595.00 for a new Turbo correctly sized.
$75.00 for the IMPCO Carb Hat / tube-ing
$15.00 1981+ AMC Intake Manifold / Exhst. mfd.
$ 18.95 Mr. Gasket 4bbl to 2bbl Carb Adapter
$ ? Holley 390 mech. carb.
$  three months rent @ Motel 6 for Bart. ;)
