The tach has mounting holes molded to the rim of the face. Two screws attach it to the back of the instrument cluster. The best I can tell, AMC used tachs that were specific to the 6 or 8 cylinder applications. I looked at a photo of the 6 cylinder tach that Eddie had on E-Bay and it's face is different than mine.
