What does GM have that would work 'Best' with a Turbo set up 
on an Inline AMC 6 or V8 ?

There is a byte to change to 8 cyl dist pulse in the chip.  You may 
want
to get an old distributor from a TPI or other computer controlled SBC 
to
disect or analyse for output. MV

Syclones are rare, and their parts are costly.

The harness from a 90-92 TPI Camaro engine is close 
enough, and it's got eight injector plugs instead of six.  
It used a 7730 which has same plugs as 7749 ECM.  
Slightly different pin-outs however.  

Also there is no
wastegate solenoid plug on the Camaro engine harness,
but that's a minor detail. You have TPS, MAP Dissy, Temp
MAT coil that all take the same plug, V8 or V6.   

Well, 
actually the two bar map sensor plug is keyed slightly 
different, but an xacto-knife can fix that.   
Some of the pins in the ECM plug will need to be moved 
but that's not hard to accomplish.

The 7749 is a common GM ECm - found in Turbo
Pontiac Sunbirds.  The 7749 platform is used in a
number of applicatons - is around and cheap .

If you want EFI for your AMC V8 or I-6 ,
Turbo or Not - it is available salvage and 
can be had for Cheap............. 
(unlike Randy, who is Pricey ...but delivers:)
