Since Spirit's and Eagles use basically a Hornet/Gremlin door I would imagine that a Hornet/Gremlin/Concord mirror would fit. I have a set of 79 Concord Mirrors on my orange car. Another thing I found futzing with these mirrors Even though the head on the mirrors I am using are the same, the mirror glass is ever so slightly different in size. Only a pain like me would have noticed this. I compared the base with the factory painted mirror that came off my orange car and used 2 bases of the same angle to make up my set. On your list Eddie if I am reading it right the Pacer base are different than Javelin's or Hornet's? I don't know if this is accurate but I used a base off a mirror that that was marked Pacer with a marker and it was the same as my original Hornet's one. Any how I have ended up after a good mornings work with a set of really nice chrome non- remote mirrors for my yellow car. "Doc" ------------------------ Yahoo! helps you and others too, the 70-up retangular head AMC mirros are all the
same 'head' and also interchange with several Jaguar vehicles. But with AMC,
you will see many people simply put 'AMX, Javelin, Machine' in the ebay
auctions to get more hits....or they don't know better.....or simply because
they will screw someone. If you put say, a Matador mirror on a Javelin it
will stick out at a 45 degree angle away from thecar, or....will hit the
glass!
This happens with a variety of them, been there, done that. So hopefully
someone will save this list. This is what interchanges....mirror wise...
70-74 AMX/Javelin
75-80 Pacer
74-78 Matador coupe
70-80 Hornet, Concord, Gremlin
70-78 Rebel. Ambassador, Matador/4dr/SW
I'm unsure about Spirit and Eagle as I have never experimented with those
mirrors off them although the Spirit used these for several years. Hope this
helps, goodnight,

Subject: [BaadAssGremlins] Mirrors From eBay Win Arrived
I got the box of 13 assorted mirrors I won off of eBay a few weeks ago
yesterday afternoon. Not without a few minor problems that me and the
seller worked out and all in all it was a good deal, it just took 3
weeks to get them. I also learned that all AMC mirrors that look alike
are not the same. I was told the mounting stand was the same between the
Javelin's and the Hornet's by some people and different by other people.
They are different. First of all the reason I bought all of these
mirrors was that there was a set of non-remote mirrors. I wanted them
for the yellow car so I would not have to cut an already completed
custom drivers door panel for the control. Second these mirrors came
from California and the chrome is in exceptionally good condition. After
taking 2 non-remote Javelin mirrors and 2 remote Hornet mirrors I was
able to make the 2 mirrors I need for the yellow car. It took all
morning to swap parts, clean and polish chrome and tighten up the swivel
ball adjusting brackets. Now I just have to go to the glass shop
tomorrow and have 2 new glasses cut.
