Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Fw: help wanted: 64 American only has Compression in #1 Cylinder

Gary,
The quick answer is: Did you do a compression leak down test to determine where the air is going to on compression stroke? Is it escaping out the exhaust or the intake? With that amount of compression loss on the majority of cylinders, I would suspect that you have some valves that are sticking open. I had one that was crudded up inside just enough that when I pulled the side cover off to inspect the valve train, I had at least one valve for each cylinder was stuck open. Hope this gives you some ideas to work with.

I spoke with Gary earlier today who is having issues with his flathead 195.6 64 American Rambler engine. Anyone willing to comment
it would be appreciated, and thanks in advance to all who might reply, please copy your reply also to Gary below.
