no, the '66-'70 290/343/390 was never used in jeeps; they used amc
327s '65-8, buick 350s '68-'70, and with amc ownership 304/360/401
after that.

the buick may seem odd, but they'd bought the 225 v6 from buick in '66
and they shared a lot of parts, both derived from the aluminum 215 of
the early '60s and sold to rover.
