Unless it's 4x4 or has big tires, the difference between 3.91 and 4.10 is less than 5%

I have looked at all the after market gear sets . . . They all jump from 3.73s to 4.10s . . . they all skip 3.91s

Yep, the gears I sell same issue.??I haven't been able to find 3.91s in a
while.? Mostly my supplier says they just?weren't popular enough for it?to be
worthwhile.? I can get 2.87 3.15, 3.33, 3.54, 3.73, 4.10, 4.56 and a few
others.? You won't see?a huge diff on either side up or down?in the 3.73 or?4.10
from the 3.91 depending on your set up.

There are LOTS of newer vehicles that have electrically boosted power steering as well as completely electronically controlled, electrically powered steering racks. ?Most of your later model GM mid size vehicles have them (06 and up) as well as many other vehicles available here. ?No need to pay over the pond shipping for something you could get here!?

the city of Houston is finally lowering the damned street next to house after 50 something years. Not saying they are Rambler slow
but more Rambler slow without wheels slow. Too bad the 99 year old neighbor next to me was put in nursing home a few years ago, she
would have some choice sailor words for this, she bought her home new the year I was born. Anyways, some links above showing some of
my AMCs line up on side of house, I washed all 5 of them that day, not smartest thing in world to do as been battling flu like mess
for 13 days now, really nasty strain with fever, dizziness, lose equilbrium standing up, even driving is chore as is concentrating,
so really felt it after washed the cars off, but figured with a week of cool sunshine coming up why not. Now back to more Theraflu.

These photos were recently to me by Jim Osborne. I can't recall last time if at all since maybe 1980s I saw a "former" AMC
Dealership with a new AMC on their showroom floor. I don't think Jim was hallucinating because of eating at Chili's and he actually
took some photos of the Eagle on the showroom floor, and tired, old AMC Select Used cars lighted sign still standing proudly outside
although I don't believe they still sell used cars, much less AMC unless that choice Eagle for sale.
Jimmie Vickers AMC, 535, E. Merritt Island Causeway, Merritt Island, Florida, 32952 was a longtime former Rambler, then AMC
dealership. These are listed in my large AMC DEALERSHIPS file

Well, how cool is that. These photos of a former AMC dealer still flying the AMC flag high in 2012 made my day and are now in my AMC

Apparently I was making too big of an issue out of it ... it looks like
it is readily available. I had googled Carter YF parts and came up empty
but after your suggestion I went to NAPA, Autozone, and Advance and used
their internal finders, they all can get the part. Live and learn.
I am putting the YF on a 4.0L manifold to use for breaking my motor in
before I switch it to propane. I'll take a picture of it before I make
the switch.

oughta be 2.73s and 3.07s too.
at some point civ hummers changed, but mil hummers have always had
amc20 diffs with 2.56s and 2.73s on torsen diffs. more recently
there's been a 12000lb 'heavy hummer' with 3.07s. i've been wondering
if these are regular gears, in which case we'd have a 3-series torsen
for all our gears [if we can just get our hands on them!], or if it's
a special thick-ring set for the 2-series carrier they're already
using...
