1. *NEVER* shift into park while the car's moving.  doing so is a sure
   recipe for tranny mayhem.  and btw never rely on park to hold a car
   on a hill - that's what the parking brake is for.
2. are you *SURE* this isn't just a *LINKAGE* issue?
