Too bad you're so far from me. I have everything for the swap in an '80 up including the pedals, 360 motor /T18/np208 and front driveshaft for $500! (I'd even give a discount for the np229 to put it in my Eagle)
   Rear shaft would need changing probably due to length differences. (Jtruck is a different length rear than GWs)

TH400 would need a short height NP adapter and 23 spline output the correct length to fit the current tcase. 
Then the shifter, etc. Easier to rebuild the 727 (used by all '80 up FSJs except some 6 cyl 80-83 Cherokees)

Hey all! I've bought an 87 Grand Wagoneer and reverse is out. What type of automatic trans did these use? Can these be converted over to the TH400 amc case or what kind of can of worms would I open if I wanted to put a manual trans in it?
