Re: [AMC-list] 1979 AMC Pacer Fuel gauge and Brake issue

                              Hi Yall,

Having a couple issues with my Pacer wagon. The fuel gauge works sometimes but not all. It seems to stop working going around a corner or hitting a lrge bump too hard? I have checked the wires at the tank and none seem lose.

My brake issue started out slow. I would hit the brake and it would stop, but then go to the floor, but pump right up and be fine for a month. No fluid lose that I could see. Now that the weather is warm iit is happening everyday, but as before! It pumps right back up but is happening more frequently. I am gonna put a new MC on it tomorrow, the car has been sitting since 1989 until I p;ut it on the road last year with just a quick brake exam, whioch they actually needed nothing at that time.

Any ideas on these issues would be greatly appreciatd.

                                regards,

                                 Jay
