I have an 80 Spirit that had the wipers quit. It was the ground strap between
the wiper motor and the wiper motor mounting plate. The motor is mounted on
rubber so it moves a little on every swipe. The ground strap is a wrinkled bit
of copper and it finally flexed too many times.
