Dave. years ago, about 12 or so, I yanked all the smog crap out of my 82 Eagle. It made a 
huge difference, car suddenly had tons of power. I have no electrics hooked up to the 
carb. All smogs plugged or outright gone. Car has 210,000 miles on it, just got back from 
Chinese Buffet (place called Buffet City!) in the Eagle.

I have had several carbs on it thru year, it used to stall (all this after smog stuff 
gone) but would stall at stop signs and lights. I adjusted the idle up. I have had Holley, 
Carter and Tomco carbs on it last 100,000 miles, the Tomco runs rings around Holley or 
Carters though, just adjust, and drive, zero problems.

As for door glass, you might want to email Mike Lakin at amcowner@xxxxxxxxxx he is parting 
out a number of Spirits, Eagles, Concords in Reno, Nevada area. You can find him on Reno 
craigslist.org and aso Richard Estermeyer up in MI is parting out a number of Gremlin, 
Hornet, Spirit models.

i was running the car with a little electric fuel pump feeding out of a can
of fresh fuel. a whole bunch of vacume lines where broke/disconnected already. i had no 
idea where they all went. i just ripped all that crap off and plugged it all up. i just 
need to go look it over a little better for more leaks i think. i will try that tip from 
jim b also about making it backfire. i had the carb apart lastnight and put new kit in it. 
it still isnt working correctly. someone had been into it before also. i need to find me a 
tsm for the car for the wiring. i also need to find the left hand drivers door glass. 
anybody know where one is? its a 2 door (not kammback) like the spirit.
