Those who have been on the list awhile (think I joined in '97?) might remember that Barting is not allowed on the list! (I can feel his eyes rolling now! 8^)


All bickering should be done back channel. Why air your issues in a forum when all that's needed is to ask nicely that people don't Bogart your subject line?

The type of squabbling in some of the previous posts in this thread WILL 
NOT BE ALLOWED on this list. It happens in some of the forums, not here. 
Consider this topic closed. No further posts in this thread unless it 
concerns the subject. Take personal complaints off-line to e-mail -- 
address to me if you feel necessary and I'll take care of it off-line.

Things occasionally get off topic in the course of a discussion. That's 
natural. When it starts getting out of hand I'll moderate as necessary. 
If I see it (like now!) I'll step in on my own. If someone complains 
I'll also step in. I don't always see something going awry. If it's 
minor, such as a little off-topic/subject, I usually let it peter out on 
it's own as most do. But on occasion intervention is necessary...
