4 and 5 speeds were both around. I sold the broken trans I had (may still have the bellhousing and flywheel for T5) for $50 because it had the bigger case the guy wanted to put Tremec gears in (the CJs ran a smaller non-worldclass case) I'd sooner run an AX-15 (I have 2 awaiting bell housings before install. One in my '82 Honcho with the 290 from the '68 Rebel we parted)

ok you eagle folks. i went and looked at 2 cars tonight. 1 is a 79 spirit that is gutted i want to make a drag car out of. the other, i think may be pretty rare. i want it for a daily winter driver. it is an '82 eagle 2door. 258 manual trans. i thought that 82 was when they went to the 5 speed. were there 4 speeds availible also? i could only find 4 gears with it. seems to have most everything there. i want to know what the difference is between kammback, and 2 door sedans? wikipedia says only 520 kammbacks and 1900 somethin 2 doors. quite strait. may get it CHEAP!!!
