IMHO. You will be better served to jump to a 16 or 17" wheel. I'm not a big fan of the "dub" look. However moving to at least 16"s gives you a much better tire selection in tread style and manufacturer.  Wheel cost is almost identical the last time I looked. 
    That being said I have 15x8 and 15x7 inch wheels on the American.     
    If I was doing it now it'd definitely get 16"s.

Hello everyone

I am thinking of instaling a set of 15x7 and 15x8.5 Torque thrust D wheels on my 1968 AMX.
Does  anyone have these wheels on their car?
What tire size is recomended to clear the fender wells
