i thought the ballast resistor was for the coil power draw. i was always told
when you convert to electronic (pertornix, msd ect) the resister can go
because the coil isnt pulling power from the points anymore. the electronic
box is powering the coil. but hey, i dunno. i got a pertronix on the ordered
list. along with the rest of the parts for my aluminum 196.
