Some diesel Trivia.   A local guy (Bay Area) had a Renault diesel powered Jeep Cherokee.  I had a batch of Renault diesel fuel filters in a bulk lot of AMC/Renualt parts I bought.  I thought I never would be able to sell them.  I put them on Ebay several times and no bids.  I advertised them on craigslist and he contacted me at work very soon after the ad started.  He explained that he had some work done on his car and had some fuel contamination and he bought the whole lot of filters.

vw has an excellent mid-late '90s 1.9tdi that would imho be a better
diesel repower than an isuzu.  bonus: if you have a rare audi-powered
amc, it has the same tranny bolt pattern.
