Just be glad that box did not lock in the meddle of a long sweeping corner at 70 mph!  

I really don't understand why it would lock like that though? Makes no sense to me as I have swapped a ton of boxes, some of which were just tossed in the bed of a pickup and left roll around on the way home from the yard. 

   Try calling one of the rebuilders. Perhaps you can get to talk to a tech who can give you some insight?
