that's an unusual stud.  every amc i've ever heard of - also mopars
and fords - had 1/2-20 studs.  only gm used 7/16 afaik.

i don't know if it would affect your problem, but amc used 3 different
setups in the '70s, and the last one had several variations, including
2 different calipers overlapping 3 different rotors running on 2
different spindles.
