Other postes are right, base coat is flat and gets its gloss from the clear. If you are painting a whole panel then no problem it will match and you can
adjust the gloss to match the overall gloss of the car.  If you are trying to
spot paint a panel then the base clear will not give satisfactory results. The only paint that will do that is lacquer. By the way Tower Paint in WI http://www.towerpaint.com/
sells paint in spray cans.  They can mix the original color in Lacquer and
Acryllic Enamel.  If you want to just blend a spot on a pnel use the lacquer,
for the whole panel use the enamel.  I have used Tower Paint for years and
their enamel is easy to spray, resists running and has an excellent gloss. Hope this helps.
