My old Cincy pal Matt is (of course!) right.   They weren't used on the
Americans.  However, I put one on my '64 American (behind the rear window,
like on an AMX); and it looks darned nice.  And the newer repro emblems are
quite nice; no longer just a sticker on a plate.
