"    When my dad added p/s to our 65 he pulled the SOdeath and cut off the shaft. He ground flats on it until it took the out double D slip put it together installed it then brazed around the double D.

it hadn't occurred to me, but the sod and collapsible columns are from
different suppliers.  the shafts may or may not be the same diameter.
the turn signal cam may or may not be the same size and shape, and in
the same place.
