ALL 1966+ cars have the rag joint. 65 was the last year for the long shaft steering box. All power steering cars from 64 on have a rag joint. Only the earlier PS cars with the "cross-ram" setup have the solid shaft -- they used a manual steering box with the cross-ram, a valve in the end of the ram controlled power assist.

That's why I mentioned the 65 Ambo as a possible good source for a "correct looking column with rag joint. 
   When I got the convert. I thought the verts only got the rag joint But the 990: cars had it too.
