Hmmm...  Never knew that was the trick.

I prefer to go with the largest optional tire.  The big body wheel wells could accommodate up to H78x14, which should be 27.6" tall.

A 27.6" tall old-style tire would translate to a 221/78-14 in current parlance.

Only problem is that it's really, really hard to find any tires in the correct height to fit 14" wheels.
