Any cable pedal will work. If you really don't like it mounted to the firewall and hanging down remove the pedal itself and mount the bracket and rod so that the Rambler floor mounted pedal pushes the bracket without binding. I just use the hanging pedal in mine, Jeep Cherokee pedal and cable. IIRC the cable just pushes into a square hole in the firewall, easy enough to make!

Only thing not planned out is the throttle linkage and that I'll just build
on the car at the last minute.
