Those and similar British units (MGs, etc.) are for MANUAL transmissions and won't fit the old autos. Even if the splines from the output shaft of an auto will mate into the input of the OD unit (which is unlikely), you'd still have to modify the output shaft housing to mount the unit. On a side note, Gear Vendors started out by buying leftover stock of Laycock-DeNormanville units from AMC when they stopped using them in the mid 70s. They first made a divorced set-up, then later licensed the design from DeNormanville and made beefier units specifically made for certain transmissions. They may still sell a divorced unit. DeNormanville was the inventor/designer of the original unit, Laycock the manufacturer.

Someone also suggested Volvo Leacock O/D from their BW trans and I see those for @$100 with the whole trans here
