[AMC-list] ] 727 vs. 999 converters ????

No, they have different hub size and pump.  The bolt spacing is the same.  The smaller TF converters had problems with the hub cracking where it engages the trani pump.  Most of them have small cracks in the corners.  Be careful to inspect them before you re-install.  If it has a crack in it and the corner gives way, it will take the pump out it will destroy some of the more expensive parts in the trans that typically don't ever wear out.

Hey guys,
Can the 727 and 999 converters be exchanged or are they tranny specific?? A guy is interested in the 727 360 flexplate and converter for his 999 Jeep project.? Thanks for the feedback.

Sincerely,
Greg Taylor :) <><
