Standard was 33A, with AC was 40A in 1964 (40A was "heavy duty", but could also get a Leece-Neville 60A). 65+ standard alt was 35A. 40A w/AC on sixes, 40A was standard and a 55A w/AC on V-8s. The 40A & 55A were optional on sixes. The 60A L-N was also available in 65. The "w/AC alternators were optional w/o AC.

What is the amperage of the factory alternator? Mine appears to be original. It's an old Motorola.
