I can assure the my 99 15 did as it dribbled.
Andre was the only source for the seal i could find at the time.
It ended up being a NOS with a rusty weak spring, so I found another 
seal and stole the spring from that seal to put into the NOS one.
Been leak free from pinion ever sense, took a can of the "right stuff" 
to get the bleeping cover to stop leaking! I swear they machined
the rear face of the AMC 15 in my car with a 16 grit disc on a 7" grinder
wielded by a blind man....wow, what a mess...
No leaks at all now, finally!
