Re: [AMC-list] oil coming out of dipstick

Greg,

Thanks for sharing this information. I looked at this product several years ago, and I wondered how well it really worked. It sounds like it's time to try one.

I would recommend replacing the PCV valve with the unit from www.envalve.com and plugging off ALL other breather ports. The En Valve is designed to create a serious vacuum inside the crankcase, nearly eliminating blow-by. It basically sucks the rings to the cylinder wall better, to reduce blow-by.

I recently installed on the 46,000 mile 318 in my parents' "new" RV that was burning 1-2 qts of oil in 450 miles. It is now almost down to zero oil burning.

With the EN valve installed and all else plugged off, you can pull the dip stick tube and FEEL the vacuum through the tube ... this would eliminate the pressure build-up you're seeing on your engine, due to blow-by.

I have since installed one on my PT Cruiser and picked up a couple more for my stroker 304 and for the 360 in my buddy's GW.

Check out their website at www.envalve.com and talk to Emil. He's fantastic to deal with ... GREAT customer service.

Sincerely,
Greg Taylor :) <><
