You know, speakingof headliners, there use to be companies that sold headliner supports.  These were flat pieces of spring steel that were reinforced in the center so they wouldn't sag.  You ordered one that was close to the width of your headliner and installed it underneath (where you could see it while sitting in the car).  You just hooked one side into the "J" molding that borders the headliner, then pushed up the other and got it into the J molding on the other side.

They were specifically designed to hold up sagging headliners.  They weren't for the purist, but they kept the headliner off your head.

Does anyone know if any suppliers still sell those things?  

I'm really not interested in trying to re-glue the rear headliner back up on my 65 American wagon (the glue never holds for long)
