Re: [AMC-list] Talk to me about headliners

I did not see if you mentioned if it is hardboard or cloth and hangers?

I painted the hardboard headliner in mine as it was too far gone to get cleaned and looking good.
I used a plain simple latex paint and had a mildewcide to keep things from growning up there while in storage.
You can pick sheen to suit your taste, paint is cheap, I used a smooth foam roller.
Mine has been done for about 10 years now and still looks like the day I did it.

If you do this be careful not to push the visors up against the headliner as the paint wanted to stick right where the edges of the visors touched, I have like two little spots that need touched up, someday. They are not even noticeable to anyone but me.

Cool!!!! At is much simpler than and! I can do at.

My youngest goes in for surgery on June 2nd, and we're going nuts
around the house trying to fix, clean, straighten and replace things.
Next time, I'm only allowing messy friends and relatives over. I'm
trying to think of smaller, quicker jobs I can do on the Rambler to
keep from stressing. Todays break was fiddling with the latches on the
bench seat so I can move it back and forth - and latch it! A lot to do
here, but I've been sneaking out for little 30 minute increments every
now and then.
