Everything Armand says is good.

Though it's very different, I put A/C in my '63 Classic. I ultimately used
aftermarket stuff, not factory, but it might be a help.

Hoses are a big deal. NO WAY I would use old hoses. They will leak, and have
soaked up A/C oil and you'll regret it. There's a way in there to"mostly"
make your own custom hoses and have someone else do the crimp job.
