Do you have a big chunk of keys on your chain? The weight of them swinging can partially turn the ignition switch. Did I mention the dreaded cam walk? (fairly easily fixed on the 4.2L by changing the timing cover to one from a 4.0L along with the bolt in the cam, which is really a cam button.)
   The unit that screws into the intake is thermal control for something in the BBD computer. The O2 sensor is screwed into the exhaust manifold below the EGR valve.
