[Amc-list] 70 amx dash

Does anyone know an easy way to remove chrome plastic rings around speedometer/tach/clock on 70 amx dash?? I see at back of piece there are small tabs securing the rings in place, but I don't want to tear it up trying to remove it.? Is there a trick?
